About SANO-HEP:
SANO-HEP is the first association addressed to patients infected with hepatitis viruses from Romania. The organization was founded in 2001 at Brasov, with the declared objective to provide support to almost 1 million people infected with one of the hepatic viruses from Romania.

The main objectives of SANO-HEP are:
- helping people infected with hepatitis viruses to solve the specific problems that occur in these situations
- implementing campaigns for preventing the spread of the disease.

About The Romanian Association for the Study of the Liver (ARSF):
The Romanian Association for the Study of the Liver (ARSF) is the national scientific organization which reunites doctors interested in the field of hepatology, and is affiliated to the European Association for the Study of the Liver.

Founded in 1990, ARSF has organized 14 national congresses with national and international participation, the last congress held in October 2004 reuniting over 600 participants. Over the years, ARSF has hosted well known European and American
hepatologists, and in 1999 EASL organized a Postgraduate Course in Bucharest.
